Benga the legend!!!!
As much as I love these two, skream went on to be (not saying benga isn’t successful solo) a bit more successful because of his love of all music types and his want for filling the floor regardless of genre. One of the best DJs of my era and made so many memories for me and I’m only 28. Can’t wait for another messy one with skream at the helm
Is this filmed during the London blitz or suttin wtf is going on in the bg
this is rad
0:07 Helicopter: What is it?! The Giant E4: E4!
3:38 links? Is that whats said? 3:50 larry who?
The background sounds are exactly what I imagine when it comes to dubstep and its grimey moody general vibe
Fvck skrillex these guys are dubstep gods
soooo sad Skream and Benga did not take the fame but Skrillex did
So nostalgic.
Tune at 3:19?
Ive been watching this video since i was 14 im 22 now jesus
I'm actually inadvertently responsible for the creation of Dubstep. I was a very talented bedroom DJ when I was about 15/16. These black brothers that lived down the end of my road called Debo and Deji learnt of my talent and I agreed for them to come round my house and MC over me DJ'ing Drum and Bass for them as they were greatly into MC'ing. I remember them telling me about their little brother called Benga when they were round . Debo and Deji were obviously playing Benga our mixtapes and getting him into Drum and Bass at a very young age, which later went on to him then pioneering early Dubstep. I want to talk to Benga and ask if he was made to listen to these mixtapes we made, as I'm certain he must've been.
I guess Skrillex doesn’t appear until later, same with Bear Grillz Datsik and excision
wow drum and bass is too fast for me as well
Even then he was talking about house disco and techno so it shouldn’t of bin a surprise he went down that root
Shit. Gaslight by Brurial? Is that unreleased or something? Never seen that anywhere
Origins 🔥
Mis héroes
2:24 Is that Flux Pavilion ?
I just wish skream and benga could get way more recognition in the states and really anywhere because you barely get to here about these guys anymore and these guys are freaking awesome. Thank u skream and benga for for forming dubstep into what it is now
Real dubstep is alive in Germany - at least with me!
Really?
@@user-yz9ld5ly4t Definitely!
song name 5:00 minutes in ??/ please :))) !
Archangel- Burial
THANK YOUUUU
a classic <3
Skream's been repping disco from day.
What are they on...
I honestly don't know what to think or say about dubstep. I mostly like the nowaday kind, but I enjoy "true" dubstep too. I would like to think that brostep, drumstep, even Chillstep all fits into the category of dubstep, but..I'm not sure anymore...all I can say is I respect the old and the new, and enjoy both. Hope the conflict of definition would calm down though, people get so mad about it (not these guys)
I'd say; enjoy dubstep and brostep as seperate entities, because they're really not comparable.
brostep was frat boys ...so really not that attractive.
SAMPLING THIS SO HARD
the girl at 2:00, too chill for school
what the hell is that noise at 3:12? how does a human make that sound?
skins345669 LMAO
Why cant we have clubs like DMZ and FWD in America? A dark room playing some og dub? Yeah, we can find plenty of concerts and shit around for Skrillex, Krewella and whatever other EDM, but we dont have any good original dark dubstep. All we got is the internet and our headphones. :/
+danermanerkider still better situation then here in Hungary. No one comes here. And mostly , we have nothing.
***** Don't you have some neighboring countries with decent music scenes at least? In America it's mostly bars with live music and clubs with big house EDM. Western to Eastern Europe generally has a wider variety don't they?
"there really is no formula..." those were happy times...
It's sad what happened to this genre
There's still a dope underground scene going on
@@DC_831 underground neverstops
@@pyrobeats5355 fuck yeah
Deep Medi still drops some pretty sick stuff
Dubstep is still alive and won't go anywhere, but it's underground (as it should be).
really wish he released "careful how you use it"
big up Joe!!
benga was never cool
correct, he was hot in musical terms
This is a video introduction to good dubstep.
memba the first time I heard dubstep! Club triangle in Osaka years ago..I was like DAMN WHAT IS THIS MUSIC? Making me dance all kinds of ways I aint neva danced before!
Legends.
a 20011 Subaru? Does it fly and shoot laserbeams?
My opinion's right and yours is wrong, what arrogance...
Brostep is a style of Dubstep. You can't define 'real' dubstep, because it has such a broad scope. It's like saying that Heavy Metal is a style of Metal, but Death Metal isn't, when clearly they are both Metal. I suppose it's a matter of opinion really, but my opinion's right, and yours is wrong :p
That should be "Bach and Sex Pistols" of course :D
Nonsense.. Skrillex does noise including maybe a blender. He never did dubstep, sorry to mess your world on that, he did, or does, brostep maybe. Anyways Skrillex and dubstep are just two different worlds.. just like Back aint Sex Pistols. And still both are pretty neat.
Mindbender05 I think it's unquestionable that skrillex has done, and does, dubstep. To try and deny that is, just silly really
Mindbender05 I want to see how you're opinion has changed in 3 years
That sweater is dope wonder where he got it
Probably Camden
Why argue about what's dubstep and what's not. Skrillex does EDM in general INCLUDING DUBSTEP. And when I say that, I acknowledge it isn't the same style as Skream , but genres DO evolve, and a lot of people need to learn that. anyway, you shouldn't HAVE to pigeonhole everything and then argue with people about how this is technically 'Intelligent UK aquabrohopcrunkstep house' drawing influences from 'Neurosambatronica' (although I think 'Neurosambatronica' is a great idea for a new genre haha)!
Why even respond? Skrillex clearly did not invent all DAWs did he? You should really learn to recognise trolls, it's not hard! xD
Definitely like filth!
When you find Dubstep.. That's it...... JOE NICE!
man theres so many to choose from try: distance, mala, coki, district, loefah, dj madd, lx one, sp:mc, jkenzo
